Testimonials
Trusted by freelancers and consultants
“This is the greatest time tracking application I've tried. Bring your own key, one time payment, nice analytics, great design, and it breaks everything down in a really helpful manner. I couldn't think of a feature when I was first using it that I would suggest that it doesn't already have.”
“I've been getting more intentional about tracking where my time actually goes, especially since I juggle multiple client projects. The combination of time tracking + blocking distractions is exactly what I need in one place instead of stitching together multiple apps.”
“Most apps I've tested are either too heavy, too abstract, or bury the actual time-breakdown behind clutter. Chronoid shows the timeline in a clean, direct way — when I worked, what app I used, how long each block lasted — exactly the type of visibility I need.”
“As someone who's tested almost every productivity app — this looks really clean and minimal, and well thought off. So would love to add it to my group of apps I use for productivity.”
“I was part of your prior round of free codes. I really love this App. I use it everyday and go back through my day to capture billable time I missed.”
“Just downloaded and did some first tests. Looks and feels amazing! Especially the nuance of having keywords, which is really useful in comparison to other apps, instead of only seeing activity on app-level. Currently really enjoying the app. Keep it up!”
“I honestly really like this app and see tons of value from using it on the daily. I'm genuinely happy this app exists. The dev seems like a really genuine person with proper human responses to various kinds of comments so it makes it even easier to support this app!”
“I have a feeling an app like this could be a game changer for people with ADHD (notably me). I set myself deadlines for learning and for projects I work on to give myself time pressure and be able to focus. Seeing the time pass visually helps a lot with that.”
“I'm a freelancer with ADHD, and my time tracking is a huge thorn in my side, looking for the best tool to remove friction from tracking and believe Chronoid has the potential to be that tool! Also looking for deeper insights on where my time goes not just for billing, but to reevaluate my own workflows.”
“Love the fact that you went with a lifetime purchase. So sick of monthly fees.”
“Chronoid is a one-time purchase. Been using it for 4+ months and the dev has been very responsive to feedback.”
“I love how clean the dashboard looks! I've tried out tons of time tracking apps, but most of them are either a pain to customize or heavy on CPU. The drag and drop is a useful feature that the other apps never had.”
“I work as a freelance consultant, switching between different projects, at times on an hourly basis. I've tried many time-tracking apps, but few as thoughtfully made as this. I can actually see myself using something like this long-term.”
“Chronoid feels like that idea but for my Mac: track what I'm actually doing, then help cut off the rabbit holes when I drift. The shortcuts + web blocker combo sounds perfect for how my brain works.”
“I've tried out literally every time tracker app and am pretty much unhappy with something or the other from each of them. This actually looks like something I'd love, especially with the Apple native design.”
“This has the potential to be the perfect app for me personally, especially as I refuse to use apps with subscriptions.”
“Paid for this app a little more than a month ago thanks to a student discount the dev was offering on here. Have it running in the background at all times. It's great for tracking how much time I spend on Reddit when I should be in lecture!”
“I have been using ActivityWatch, focusmode and WorkingHours - but those ones are not that simple and take time to set. Chronoid looks like the answer.”

From the maker
Why I built Chronoid
I've been a developer and freelancer on a Mac for more than ten years, and for most of that time I lost money the same way every month: I'd drop into focus mode, forget to start a timer, and then guess my hours when the invoice was due. The under-billing was real.
I liked the tools out there, but I was exhausted by subscriptions — paying monthly for an app that runs entirely on my own machine never sat right. So I built Chronoid: it tracks my day automatically, keeps every byte on my Mac, and you pay for it once.
A user recently told me: “Chronoid saved my butt during invoicing. No more guessing hours.” That's why I keep building it.
